Jesus said that the most important commandments are to love God and to love our neighbors. We believe that our experience of God’s love propels us toward loving our neighbors, and that our love for God grows as we love them. We provide many opportunities to help people to develop deeper relationships with each other, to give and receive support as we grow in our trust of God.
Below are a number of different ways you can develop relationships, including as adults, men, women, students and children.

(including Sermon Series Study Groups)
Lives are formed and transformed in small groups when people meet together to pray, to study, to fellowship, or to work on a specific task. Christ Church has many small groups consisting of 3-19 people who meet on a regular basis on various days and times. Get connected by getting in a small group!

Older Singles Activities
Adult Singles meet on a regular basis for a time of fellowship. Monthly gatherings include meals, outings to community events and other organized activities.
United Methodist Women (UMW)
Meets monthly, at different times, to help with fund raising projects for missions, participate in study and interest groups and grow spiritually through fellowship.
Heart Sisters believe in the power of prayer. Each six months we exchange names and prayer requests. Then we pray for that person daily and give occasional thoughtful notes and gifts. The emphasis is on daily prayer as a way to encourage one another and to build relationships with other Sisters in Christ. We usually meet monthly for fellowship or a service project.
United Methodist Men (UMM)
UMM provides an additional arena for fellowship, spiritual growth and service to the broader community. They meet the first Saturday of every month for breakfast and listen to a speaker at Hickory Gardens Restaurant, Davenport, at 7:30 AM, for fellowship and occasionally take on service projects.
Student (grades 6-12) small groups are held on Wednesday nights at 7:30 PM, immediately following Endeavor worship services, and are a great opportunity for the students to develop deeper relationships with God and each other. During our groups, we meet together to pray, to learn about each other, to study the Bible, or to do activities together.
In addition to our weekly groups, many of our students participate in other small groups that are outside of our normal Wednesday night services. Those students typically create their own group and seek a screened adult advisor to assit them. Students grow deeper in their relationship with God and each other during small group times.
Programming is available during each Sunday worship service upstairs in rooms 203 & 204. Screened Kid-Start servants join the children, age 4 - grades 5, taking time to develop their relationship with God through a Bible lesson together. Our two classroom programming provides our kids and servants opportunities to unite as small groups to grow relationally. We also spend time in a group activity expressing the joy the Lord gives us together.
