How Shoes Lead to Saving Souls

This is NOT what 250 pairs of useful shoes looks like:

This IS what those shoes actually look like:

Recently Christ Church partnered with St. Mark’s UMC and two other local churches to collect shoes to send to children across the globe. With the combined efforts, 250 pairs were gathered. I need to express my deepest thanks to you and your efforts. This is not because we care about the amount of shoes collected, but instead the amount of children that will receive physical help and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The old song says “They will know we are Christians by our Love”, and it is so true. The love they get from us isn’t just physical or just spiritual, instead both in tandem. James 2:15-17 says “if a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill,” and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? So, by faith itself, if it has no works, is dead.”

Christ Church has not ignored this. With each pair of shoes you have shown your obedience to God’s way. I have been collecting Shoes for Orphan Souls for years. With the help of God’s people, like you, I have been able to deliver over 2250 pairs of shoes to children at risk in the United States and internationally.

May God’s grace and peace be with you and Jesus’ love continue to be apparent in your life. May the Holy Spirit help you in continuing to lead others to Him.

My deepest appreciation.
