The Other Six Days

As we hear every week in worship, our goal is to make disciples. One of the three steps we use to make disciples is Experiencing God’s Love. Our staff strives every week to create impactful Sunday worship experiences, which can leave us wondering, “What do I do the other six days of the week?” Sometimes experiencing God’s love can be challenging Monday through Saturday. There are many ways to experience God’s love daily. You can read your Bible, find an online Bible study to go through, listen to worship music, or simply pray.

Some of you might be reading this and thinking, “I want to read my Bible more, but I don’t know where to start.” I will admit the Bible is a BIG book and can be a little intimidating at first but, here are a few strategies you can use. Psalms and Matthew are great books to begin your Bible journey. Psalms is full of prayers and songs. In Matthew, you can study Jesus’ life and path on earth. Lastly, as you begin to form this habit, you might forget for a couple of days or not find the time to read. Don’t be too harsh with yourself. Just read a passage the next day!
