GETTING TO KNOW OUR BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR: KERRI TOMPKINS

Kerri Tompkins is the Business Administrator and has been employed part-time with Christ Church since September of 2013. Through this role, she is the staff liaison for Trustees and the Finance Committee. In addition, I help with special projects at the request of our Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC).

The Trustees ensure the facility is maintained and items are in working order through monthly meetings. As projects are identified, Kerri facilitates and/or manages the projects with various vendors, contractors and/or volunteers.

In working with the Finance Committee, the annual budget is created, approved and monitored. Regular meetings are held throughout the year to complete these tasks. In addition, Kerri oversees expenses, reconciles accounts and runs payroll.

The role for SPRC is assisting them with policy creation and research, Conference reports, and overall staff support. Kerri feels the best part of her multi-role position is working with so many great people who are dedicated to Christ Church. Her position empowers staff and church leaders via resources to be successful in meeting the mission.

Kerri and Andrew married in 1996 and enjoy the outdoors via hiking and exploring new areas. They have been blessed with two boys. Noah arrived in the summer of 2001 and loves to play golf, dekhockey and soccer. He is a senior at Davenport North and is looking forward to his college future. Gage was born in the spring of 2004 and enjoys cross country, drumline and marching band at Davenport North. Their family also includes two dogs. Jonah is a Chesapeake Bay retriever and Katie is half golden retriever, half cocker spaniel.

Kerri also serves the City of Davenport as the eighth ward Alderman. She has been in this role since January of 2014. In her spare time, Kerri loves to travel (especially to beaches), run, read and enjoys family time.
