Lifeboat Ministry is a group of individuals that have a heart to serve others. Our mission is to reach out to touch, to listen and to revive the world one person at a time with God’s love. I am reminded of the verse in 1st Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
Lifeboat Ministry lives out that verse by showing God’s love to those who need it most in our church.
You see it when we stop and visit someone in the hospital after a surgery.
You see it when we mail a card to that person who, when they open it, knows that their church family is thinking of them You see it when we make a phone call to say “Hi” and see how they are feeling.
But when you think about it, doesn’t it also sound like what our small groups do for each other? What about that neighbor who needs your help shoveling their walk during winter months? Or once in a while you might take your friend to the doctor’s office because they can’t drive.
I believe, here at Christ Church, each one of us in some way is a part of Lifeboat Ministry. And that, my friends, makes us disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
